Artwork from the series “Power Grid Cat” by Judith R. Peterson, M.D., MPH, is currently on display on the first-floor gallery of the I.D. Weeks Library building in Vermillion now through Dec. 6.
Peterson, a clinical professor of neurosciences in the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, takes inspiration from her cat, Chai, and the concept of cats as a power grid absorbing and radiating energy.
Peterson received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She specializes in anesthesiology, physical medicine & rehabilitation, sports medicine and pain medicine and practices in Yankton and Sioux Falls.
