Social Work Video Trial
Starting January 12th, we will be trialing Social Work videos through Alexander Street Press. The trial will run for two weeks.

The Social Work Video Bundle is a small video collection of 34 lectures and instructional programs, custom-built for social work students.
This compilation of seminars, group discussions, and informational programs provides a thorough introduction to social work as a field and a career. In the videos, seasoned professionals engage such topics as the foundational theories of social work, the basics of case management, appropriate behavior around clients, how to lead a group session, and the intricacies of interacting with social services agencies. The bundle also explains case management for a wide-range of clients, from those who are chemically dependent to those who have been institutionalized or are on probation.
Featured Titles include: Faces of Change: Social Work in the New Millennium, Case Management: Linking Client With Resources, Contracting Home-Based Services, Becoming a Social Worker: Real Students, Real Clients, Real Growth, and Welfare to Work: Through Mothers' Eyes.

OCLC services unavailable 3 January 2015 for technology upgrade
On Saturday, 3 January 2015, OCLC has scheduled a technology upgrade to support system performance and reliability. During this upgrade, all OCLC services including ILLiad and WorldCat will be unavailable on 3 January 2015, from 12:01 am to 3:00 pm, U.S. Eastern Standard Time (approximately 15 hours).

CORROBORATIONS 2015
Exhibition Concept
This exhibition will pair University of South Dakota visual arts and poetry majors in order to create new collaborative work and to both broaden acceptance and appreciation of alternative art disciplines. Up to sixteen pairs will be selected by Dakota Writing Project instructor, Audrey Larsen, and Interim Director of the University Art Galleries, Michelle St. Vrain. There will be no set theme to this exhibition, however, all work created as a result of these collaborations must be new and original. Selected pairs are free to choose how they approach the collaborative process.

A reading of each poem will be given during the reception.
Eligibility
The exhibition is open to University of South Dakota undergraduate and graduate students majoring in art and undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students majoring in poetry. Acceptable visual media include ceramics, illustration, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media. Electronic media will not be accepted.
Entry Information
Visual artists will submit three-five digital images (jpg format, high resolution – 300 dpi) of their artwork on disk. Images must be of artwork that has been completed in the last two years. Visual artists should also include a short, one paragraph artist statement. Poets will submit three poems on disk. Poems must have been completed in the last two years. Entrants must include their name, address, phone number, email address, and year in school. Disks of artwork and poetry should be sent to:

Art Exhibit: 21 Days
21 Days is a social campaign to promote recycling, and provide information on the recycling process in Vermillion. It takes 21 Days to break a habit, start recycling today.
